Pepperl+Fuchs has many harsh duty rotary encoders for extreme environments. The CVM42H is a CANopen absolute encoder that has a 42 mm diameter housing that can withstand high mechanical stresses. This harsh duty rotary encoder can withstand 270N axial/radial shaft loads, shock of 300 g and vibration of 30 g.
The CVM42H absolute encoder also can withstand extreme ambient conditions, with a temperature rating of -40 °C to 100 °C and environmental ratings of IP66, IP68, and IP69K. The stainless steel housing, flange, and shaft completes this small but very robust rotary encoder.
The CVM36M is a CANopen absolute encoder and AVM36 is an SSI absolute encoder. Both the CVM36M and AVM36M have a very small housing of 36.5 mm (diameter). The RHI90 is a hollow shaft incremental encoder with variable hollow shafts from 16 mm to 45 mm. RHI90 has an aluminum housing with metal code disc and protection of IP65. The RHI90 has been developed for drive and lift equipment. The hollow shaft encoder allows simple installation and coupling is not necessary.
The RVI25P is an incremental encoder that has IP65 protection, Mil-Spec connector, and square flange. The heavy- duty housing is die-cast zinc, the flange is aluminum, and the shaft is stainless steel.
