Job Description
Pepperl+Fuchs, a leading developer and manufacturer of electronic sensors and components for the global automation market is looking for a top performer to fill our current need for an Application Engineer position. If you are an ambitious hardworking individual who can fill our immediate need as described below, please apply!The Application Engineer is responsible for providing all technical information and application support on our products to distributors, outside sales force, and customers. The candidate will also provide regional coordination, lead generation support, relationship management, and client servicing in support of the outside sales team. The position works closely with internal and external personnel to build relationships and increase sales and retention of Pepperl+Fuchs’ customers.
What you’ll be doing:
- Responding to technical customer inquiries
- Communicating with field sales and customers to support product sales
- Handling product-related customer questions
- Working with sales and product management to obtain detailed information regarding new product ideas and applications
- Completing, maintaining, and processing pertinent paperwork and records
- Exhibiting excellent computer, telephone, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Possibility of placing outbound calls to potential customer base, as well as response to email, fax or other customer communication
- Employing innovative sales techniques in a phone sales environment
Experience+Skills Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
- 0-3 years of related working experience preferred
