Job Description
Pepperl+Fuchs is looking for a top performer to fill our current need for a Business Analyst position. If you are an ambitious hardworking individual who can fill our immediate need as described below, please apply!The Business Analyst is responsible for preparing daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports. Analyzes pricing issues and expenses and assists in preparing forecasts and budgets.
What you’ll be doing:
- Conducts month-end activities, including preparing monthly reports, examining variances, preparing and entering journal entries.
- Analyzes current year budget data (sales and expenses) to determine budget amounts.
- Analyzes forecasts, comparing budget vs. actual, and adjusting amounts as necessary.
- Investigates variances in part prices.
- Reviews expenses monthly and reclassifies as necessary.
- Prepares special reports and conducts additional analysis as requested.
- Analyzes invoices and investigates any issues discovered.
- Maintains detailed records and prepares communications as needed.
- Interacts professionally on a regular basis with staff, management, and the general public.
- Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed.
Experience+Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Must have a minimum of 0 to 3 years of related experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Access
- Developed analytical and problem solving abilities
- Ability to read, write and interpret reports and business correspondence for a diverse audience
- Ability to organize work, engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines
- High degree of initiative and independent judgment
- Ability to express self effectively and concisely, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to demonstrate a high attention to detail and good follow-up skills
- Must be self-motivated, proactive and solution focused
- Ability to tactfully and effectively deal with public, staff and management in a personable and professional manner
- Maintains a high level of energy and a consistent positive attitude
- Works efficiently in teams with diverse members
