Tru-Vue BGS sensors do not require reflectors, but unlike traditional diffuse mode photoelectric sensors, the target color has minimal effect on its sensing range. Tru-Vue BGS sensors see only the target, not shiny machine surfaces and conveyors. And white and black targets are seen within just millimeters of each other. (See image below.)
